Ambassador
Cooper Nash Ford

Ambassador Cooper Nash Ford is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Cleve Ford of Weslaco.
Ambassador Cooper attends Texas A&M University in College Station where he is a Cargill Thrive Scholar and on the College of Agriculture Dean’s List. Cooper is on the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences Council, and All American member of the Wool Judging Team and a member of Saddle and Sirloin. Cooper was named TAMU Gamma Sigma Delta outstanding sophomore in Animal Science. A graduate of Weslaco High School, Cooper was a National Hispanic Scholar, Texas Farm Bureau Free Enterprise Speech Winner, Area X FFA 1st Vice President and served on the Texas 4-H Council. Cooper enjoys fishing and raising show pigs with his family. Cooper’s maternal great grandmother settled in Weslaco in the early 1900’s from Alabama. The Griffin family planted row crops and operated a small dairy. Cooper’s paternal grandparents ran a small cow calf operation in East Texas. Today, Cooper, and his family run a breeding hog operation and market show pigs across the state. Cooper’s parents have been dedicated volunteers and supporters of the Rio Grande Valley Livestock Show, as well as, 4-H and FFA organizations in the Rio Grande Valley. Cooper was awarded a scholarship by the Algodon Club in 2021.
